The Philadelphia Honor 5k Run/Walk to support Defending The Blue Line

We’ve been showing our love for Defending the Blue Line quite a bit here on RtR lately.  Now we want to give our readers a chance to show their love too!  The Philadelphia Honor (a kick-ass ALL Women’s hockey team in Philly) is hosting a 5k run, 1 mile walk, and Zumba party at Warminster Community Park just north of Philly this Saturday, March 31st to benefit DTBL.  Registration is $30 online or $40 day of the race (registration/volunteer form here). The Honor was founded by Rachel Miller, a hockey player trying to change the face of Women’s hockey, while doing some good for those that deserve it along the way.

The Honor has sort of adopted Defending The Blue Line, and while this is their first big event to benefit them, this is far from their first contribution.  They’ve recently made team calendars to sell, with all proceeds going to Defending the Blue Line.  You can purchase a calendar directly on DTBL’s website, or you can buy one at the 5k on Saturday. Did I mention that they’re kick-ass?

So if you’re a runner, walker, zumba-er (is that a word?), hockey fan, military supporter, or someone that’s just looking for a morning of fun, come on out. And who knows, if I catch you there in an RTR DTBL shirt, you just might end up with something cool to take home.
