Practice: Mar. 9

The Washington Capitals were on ice Friday morning for a practice following their come from behind win over the Lightning on Thursday. Some updates from Kettler Capitals Iceplex:

All of the healthy forwards were on ice for the skate, certainly an improvement over the last week or so in which a lot of players have been taking options.  The lines were as follows: Johansson-Laich-Ovechkin, Chimera-Perreault-Aucoin, Hendricks-Beagle-Brouwer, and Knuble-Halpern-Semin-Ward.  Yes, that’s Alex Semin on the fourth line so that KEITH AUCOIN can play on the “second” unit.  Madness, I say.

Mike Green was not available to speak to reporters prior to his 1 PM disciplinary hearing with the League for his hit on Brett Connolly on Thursday.  Dale Hunter would not comment on the play, either.
