Practice: Mar. 1

The Washington Capitals were on ice Thursday for a practice following a day off as they prepared to take on the New Jersey Devils at home on Friday night.  Some updates from Kettler Capitals Iceplex:

Keith Aucoin, who has spent the last few games on the top line, was absent from practice as he is in Hershey to be with his wife, who just gave birth to a baby boy, Brayden.  As such, Mike Knuble took his place on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Marcus Johansson.  Aucoin is expected back in time for Friday’s game.

The other lines remained unchanged: Chimera-Perreault-Semin, Hendricks-Laich-Brouwer, and Beagle-Halpern-Ward.

That’s it from a very quiet day at Kettler.  As always, follow me on Twitter here for news and updates.
