The Washington Capitals were on ice Thursday morning for a practice after their 5-2 humbling at the hands of the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night. Some updates from Kettler Capitals Iceplex:
Alex Ovechkin, who missed Wednesday’s loss with a lower-body injury, did not participate in practice with his teammates. Instead, he engaged in some light skating and shooting before practice, again, testing his injury and trying to work through it. All in all, he skated for about 15 minutes.
Without Ovechkin, the entire team that played last night as well as the scratches practiced. The lines were Knuble-Laich-Brouwer, Chimera-Perreault-Semin, Johansson-Aucoin-Hendricks, and Beagle-Halpern-Ward.
That’s all for now.
