Game-Winning Goal:  Brian Boyle
Notes:  The Capitals fell behind 3-0 less than 8 minutes into the game.  They got two quick goals back from Troy Brouwer and John Carlson, but Boyle put the game out of reach before the first period was over.  Alex Ovechkin also scored for the Caps.  Ruslan Fedotenko had two goals and Ryan Callahan had 3 assists.  Three other Rangers had multiple-point games.

Game-Winning Goal:  Troy Brouwer
Notes:  The Capitals got the first goal from Marcus Johansson, but the first period ended in a tie.  The Brouwer scored in the second and Alex Semin added two more goal to put the game away.

Notes:  The Rangers led 1-0 after a first period goal by Ryan Callahan.  The Capitals tied the game in the second, but the Rangers scored two more goal, including Prust’s shorthanded game-winner.  The Capitals got a late goal from John Carlson. 

April 7 in New York: 4-1 Win

Notes: In the final game of the regular season, the Capitals opened up a 4-goal lead by the 25-minute mark of the game and held on for the victory.  Roman Hamrlik and Nicklas Backstrom each had 2 points for the Caps.
