Practice: Oct. 26 – Green Unlikely, Vokoun to Start

The Washington Capitals were on ice Wednesday afternoon inside Rexall Place as they prepare for their game against the Oilers Thursday night.  Some updates from Edmonton:

Mike Green was once again absent from practice because of his sore ankle and it now seems unlikely that he will suit up Thursday night.  Sean Collins will take his place in the event he can’t go.  Said Bruce Boudreau, “It doesn’t look good.”

The lines remained the same as they have for the last week: Ovechkin-Backstrom-Brouwer, Semin-Johansson-Knuble, Chimera-Laich-Ward, and Hendricks-Halpern-Perreault.

Tomas Vokoun has also revealed that he will play Thursday night’s game, not Michal Neuvirth as some had thought earlier in the week.  That means Neuvy could make his return to action in Vancouver, certainly not a desirable situation.

That’s all for now.
