Mike Green’s So Kids Can fundraiser with G Love!

If you’re not aware, Washington Capitals defenseman extraordinaire Mike Green founded So Kids Can a few years back – a program that benefits youth-based non-profit organizations in the area. In it’s inaugural season, Green was able to contribute roughly $30,000 to Pediatric Prosthetics, Inc. and donated $63,879 to Children’s National in it’s second year. Now in it’s third year, Green continues to raise money based on his performance ($100 for every goal he scores, $50 for each of his assists throughout the regular season) and, at last count, currently sits at donations totalling $151.15 $400 as of November 4th, which will be matched by Elliot Siegel of Elliot in the Morning, dollar for dollar.

What better way to raise money than throwing a soiree featuring G Love and Special Sauce? On Monday, December 13th MG52 heads to the 930 club in DC to hang out, listen to some tunes, and raise some money. So head on over to ticketfly and pick up some tickets for the event. There are two options: the $50 General Admittance ticket, or the $500 VIP package which includes early entry for 2, a reception w/ hors d’oeuvres and a Meet & Greet with Mike Green, exclusive VIP section access and a Meet & Greet with G Love. Pricey, but hey – it’s for the kids.

What are you waiting for? Grab your passes now, enjoy some cold beverages (see what I did there?) and blues music (once again), and help DC’s youth!

You can continue to show your support by pledging a donation over at Japers’ Rink, or buying one of our sweet Capitals’ shirts, of which we donate all profits to SKC.
